Who Runs The World? Women! 20 Inspirational Quotes For Your Women's Day

“Here’s to strong women: May we know them. May we be them. May we raise them.”

Happy International Women's Day!

Women have been mistreated throught history and they are still treated badly in some areas of the world. To think that some women are still suffering from inhumane treatments and even discrimination in their own work places is disheartening.

We as a community, men and women, no matter your background or culture should continue coming together to celebrate International Women's Day to honor the women who have made a difference in the world whether it be political, cultural, or social achievments. We should also keep banding together to fight for gender parity and women's rights!

Without women like Marie Sklodowska Curie (the first person to win two Nobel Prizes and also the first woman professor of general physics at the Sorbonne) their wouldn't be radioactivity (the word or the practice) or even treatments for cancer.

Rosa Parks (an american activist in the civil rights movement) started the nationwide effort to end racial segregation, and if it wasn't for her the equal rights movement probably wouldn't have started until much later.

If Susan B Anthony (an advocate for women's suffrage) didn't make a stance to cast her ballot in the 1872 Presedential Election, women's right to vote would probably not exist.

So, in honor of International Women's Day here are 20 quotes from some of the most inspirational women who have made their voices known. Thanks to these women we have come a long way from where we once were.
